Gunold STIFFY 1620 Iron On – White
Coated for ironing
For light weight garments like polo shirts or blouses, using an iron-on embroidery nonwoven is strongly recommended. It adds firmness and stability to stretch fabrics, preventing distortion during embroidery.
Processing Recommendations:
- Hoop the base fabric with the nonwoven in an embroidery hoop.
- Embroider the design.
- Remove the hoop and carefully tear away the nonwoven.
For medium-weight knits (polo shirts)
Strongly recommended for embroideries on stretch materials!
Stretch fabrics tend to get distorted during embroidering – that’s why an iron-on embroidery nonwoven is a must. The ironed-on nonwoven gives knit materials and fabrics with a high percentage of elastane a higher degree of firmness and stability and prevents fabric distortion during stitching.
Processing Recommendations:
- Hoop the base fabric with the nonwoven in an embroidery hoop.
- Embroider the design.
- Remove the hoop and carefully tear away the nonwoven.
Material Composition: Base Material: 75-80% Cellulose, 20-25% Polyester
Coating: 100% Polyethylene
Öko-Tex certified:

- Iron STIFFY 1640B onto the reverse side of the fabric with the coated (smooth) side facing the fabric.
- Hoop the fabric with the stabilizer.
- Embroider the design.
- Remove the hoop.
- Carefully tear away the stabilizer – it separates very easily despite the iron-on bond.
